I don’t know about you guys, but I generally use my Sundays to prepare for the week ahead. Grocery shopping, house cleaning, laundry, organizing, RELAXING etc. Today is no different. Since I have not shared any of my “secret” recipes yet I decided it was high time to share my grocery essentials.
I have a very hard time keeping food in our house. My husband and I are BIG eaters. We both are pretty active as well. I am a runner and he is a hockey player and weight lifter. This means that our appetites are mean and anything I make is generally gone in the blink of an eye. This sort of makes me miss the days where I was living alone and when a pot of spaghetti sauce or 4 chicken breasts could last me all week. As I have mentioned in an earlier post it is not rare for us to go through TEN POUNDS (or more) of meat per week.
If anyone out there is looking for a great starting point for healthy eating I definitely think that this grocery essentials list is a great resource. I have included meats, produce, and even & my favorite smoothie ingredients! And if you’re super new to clean, healthy eating I also found this list to get your started.

Not Quite a Housewife’s Grocery Essentials
Keep in mind that these are mour personal bare minimum grocery essentials; the items I always try to have on hand. Of course I always add in-season produce that I find at the farmers market or at Whole Foods. Believe it or not this small list of things can get you a long way.
